SITA prefers re-use to disposal of materials. In the territory of the Czech Republic, SITA's plants co-operate with reputable recycling companies and provide them with considerable flows of secondary raw materials for treatment. Rather big quantities of the secondary raw materials are collected by SITA within the separate waste collection (paper. plastics, composite packages, or glass) or recovered from certain waste types (such as refrigerators or lightning sources).

In some SITA's plants, technology units for partial treatment of the secondary raw materials are installed (such as crushers, separators, automatic big-capacity presses for waste paper or plastic).
