The composting is a method used for treatment and re-use of various organic materials. Composting is a natural aerobic biological disintegration that degrades original organic substances in wastes, transforming them into stable humous substances.

The simplest solution is to place and dig over the materials in the backfilling on a protected area. Another solution is to compost the materials in a close ventilated reactor. After the compost is mature, its quality can be changed (size of grains, moisture, or contents of nutrients) and compost can be distributed for further use.

The materials used for the composting include the wastes containing natural organic substances, typically wastes from vegetation, wafer, bark, leftovers (vegetables and fruits), dewatered sludge from waste water treatment plants and some wastes from food processing and farming industries.
