From the 23rd to 25th May 2006, two international fairs took place together under the same roof in the same time: 12th International Environment Creation and Protection Fair and 12th Water and Sewage Systems Fair. In the fair, SITA CZ presented in its booth the activities covering the whole of the Czech Republic. During the three fair days, SITA CZ informed the visitors about the comprehensive services and advanced technologies used in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

The environment fairs in 2006 were successful. All visitors appreciated in advance the integration of the water and sewage systems and environment technologies. The result was more than three hundred satisfied companied from ten countries on almost 11,000 square meters of the stand space. In the first two days, the visitors from 21 countries in three continents visited the well-thought combination of the both fairs. In total, ten thousand visitors took part in the environment fairs.

A number of conferences, workshops, discussion meetings, and competitions took place within the specialised accompanying programme. The key part of the programme provided within the environment fairs was, traditionally, Envikongres – the three-day conference that was organised under the auspices of the Ministries of Environment, Agriculture, and Industry and Trade. Topics were divided into nine blocks and addressed, in particular, the integrated environment protection, waste management, accountancy and reporting systems, sustainable development and issues connected with the energy efficiency. Presentations were read by representatives of the Ministries, government and non-government organisations, and industrial businesses.

SITA CZ presented in its booth the activities covering the whole of the Czech Republic. During the three fair days, SITA CZ informed the visitors about the comprehensive services and advanced technologies used in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. SITA CZ welcomed high interest in SITA CZ' exposition that was visited by almost one hundred and fifty visitors during the three fair days. SITA CZ' managers took part in several scheduled and unscheduled meetings and met many business contacts and experts from the Czech Republic and abroad. Czech Republic Minister of Environment Libor Ambrozek and Morocco Minister of Environment Mohamed El Yazghi visited SITA CZ' stand and met the Managing Director Zdeněk Horsák and top executives of SITA CZ. Mr. El Yazghi was interested in Czech environmental technologies and Mr Ambrozek asked questions regarding the future development of SITA CZ's activities in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In ENVIKONGRES Zdeněk Horsák read the presentation about the integrated system applied within the bio-degradable waste management.

SITA CZ is satisfied with its performance in the fair. At the end Zdeněk Horsák said: "In the modern exhibition grounds SITA CZ has confirmed that it is among leaders on the Czech waste market and proved through its presence the efforts of the Ministry of Environment and Brno to become the environment centre in the international context".
