SITA CZ a.s.

In eastern part of Brno - Líšeň, the work related to the new waste management centre of SITA CZ a.s. has been finished. This centre can be considered one of the state-of-the-art waste collection, processing and re-sorting centers for customers from Brno and surrounding area. Launch event will be held on Friday, May 23, 2008 in Brno - Líšeň, Holzova 14/730 with the participation of Brno mayor, Suez Environment Executive Director, SITA CZ head-manager, Southern Moravia representatives and other guests.

SITA CZ a.s. provides environmental services in the Czech Republic since 1995. SITA is a waste management company known worldwide and it is takes a stable leading position in Europe. SITA CZ is a part of supranational group of SUEZ ENVIRONMENT, a worldwide environmental service provider.

SITA CZ has made significant investments in Brno during the period of 2005 to 2008. These included financial resources for improvement and development of the services for corporate customers as well as services for municipal customers... The new facility is a final point of this process; it will provide optimal, effective and efficient waste management gathered by collection or buyout of waste. All these processes will take place in a modern, well-protected hall, posing no negative effects to the environment. It will also be a base for the company to provide comprehensive waste management services, placing emphasis to buyout and processing of secondary raw materials, wood, paper, industrial, packaging and beverage plastics, anticoincident products, plastic and iron production waste. A new installed fine chemical waste, polystyrene and electrical installation waste processing and separation device will be used here as well.

As a part of investments of the Brno - Holzova facility, a complete drainage and sewer system for the entire facility has been provided; it included installation of petroleum separators, new waste management handling area, hall construction work including floor and new indoor and outdoor waste storage boxes as well as administration building reconstruction and outdoor facility lights. The facility equipment has also been supplemented by stationary disposer, plastics classifier, double-chamber compactor, loader, handling machines and container sets. The total investment of SITA CZ in the Brno facility exceeded the amount of thirty million CZK.

The facility is a primary part of a comprehensive waste management system SITA CZ developed for its customers in Brno and surrounding area.
